This week on LiveWire we continue to explore more local Sacramento entertainment with the International Game Developers Association of Sacramento who currently holds a monthly meetup with video game enthusiasts. Also on Wednesday, we will have the California Stage back with us to announce a second play that is a part of their Sac Solo Series 4.

If you love playing video games and want to learn how to make them, then this is definitely the place for you!

IGDA Sacramento provides you access to experienced industry professionals who are making Web, PC, Mobile, & Console games! These professionals include Game Designers, Programmers, Web Developers, Indie Game Studio Start-up Founders, & more!

Founded in April 2013, the purpose of IGDA Sacramento is to allow game developers a place where they can come together, share ideas, form friendships and learn ways to get into the Video Game Industry.

Each month the Chapter hosts networking events and game jams to encourage growth and development within our community.

California Stage is a non-profit partnered theater company dedicated to encouraging arts created by Californian artists.

Its vision informs its choices through literary, social activist and multicultural points of view. California Stage’s work sets it apart from most other local theaters, as it “presents high quality work that explores issues of importance to Californians.”
